Allen Baseball encourages our players and families to volunteer throughout the season. We ask that each family contribute at least 10 hours per player per year. Volunteer hours are required for a player to be considered for a scholarship from the Home Run Club their senior year.
Scholarship is not guaranteed upon application
Gifted amounts will vary from year to year, being dependent upon number of eligible graduating seniors and available dedicated HRC funds
Both players and parents can earn HRC volunteer hours that will go toward the required 10 hours
Additional opportunities may be added should the need arise. If your player needs hours for school organizations, they may use the [email protected] email for service hour verification

Team Dinners Begin with District Games in the Spring
Varsity and JV will have team dinners on Monday nights, and Freshmen on Tuesday nights. These are fun bonding nights for the boys.
Hosted by Parents
Dinners are hosted by the parent volunteers and can take place in a home or at a local restaurant. Hosts choose the location and coordinate the details.
Sign Ups
Schedule for sign-ups will be posted at the start of Spring season (February)
Each family is encouraged to sign up for one hosting opportunity during the season
Each date will have 3 slots for parent sign-ups. We try to keep it at 3 hosts per date so every date is covered throughout the Spring season.
Note: there are approximately 8 district game/team dinner slots for each team per season
Cost and Payment
Each player contributes $5 per meal, paid via Venmo or cash to the host family (who will provide payment details). Any costs over $5 per player are split among the host families.
Attendance Guidelines
Attendance is not required but is highly encouraged for all players. Parents do not attend, except host parents—who should sit at a separate table if dining at a restaurant.
Schedule Adjustments May Be Needed
Occasionally, practices or games may overlap with dinner time. We will adjust the schedule as needed.
Rides Can Be Arranged
If your player needs a ride, please contact your team reps for help coordinating transportation.
Coordination with Co-Hosts
You’ll be asked to provide a phone number to coordinate with your co-hosts. Team reps will connect you to plan together.
Volunteer Credit for Hosting
Hosting a team dinner earns you two hours of volunteer credit. Players do not earn volunteer hours for attending.
Thank You for Your Support
Your involvement makes these nights special for the boys. We truly appreciate your help in making it happen!
The Home Run Club is the booster club for the Allen High School Varsity, JV, and Freshman baseball teams. We support the Allen Eagles baseball program through community involvement, fundraising, and membership. Our efforts allow us to provide support to the program that is outside of what the district provides. With the funds raised from Membership and various fundraisers throughout the year we are able to provide financial support to the team for items such as equipment, uniforms, out-of-town Varsity tournament, end-of-year banquet, Teacher Appreciation Night, and senior scholarships.
We are thrilled to partner with the Kiwanis Club of Allen and to support the Angel League. Our players serve as buddies to athletes with special needs. In addition to attending weekly practices/games, our players support the athletes by attending their end-of-season banquet.
During the Spring, AHS baseball team members visit elementary campuses to greet students as they arrive at school. Players give high fives, fist bumps, and well wishes for students to have a terrific day!
The Allen Home Run Club supports our players in their post-high school pursuits with scholarships available to graduating seniors. Scholarships are available to seniors who have met booster club volunteer requirements during their time in the program.
We are pleased to host two spring tournaments. Tournaments are a significant fundraiser for the Home Run Club. The tournaments need parents and family members as volunteers to run concessions, sell tickets, announce games, game day flags, and more. Please be on the look out for information in early Spring.
Seniors are recognized with their families in a game during the spring. They are introduced along with their parents in a pre-game ceremony.
The banquet honors the seniors and recognizes the player’s accomplishments. All players from all teams are invited to this event.
During district home games, the Home Run Club hosts theme nights to recognize special members of our community such as: Teacher Appreciation Night; First Responder/Military Appreciation Night; Elementary School/ASA Night and more.
