



Any AHS graduating senior baseball player/team manager who meets the requirements listed below:
1. Shows proof of application to and/or acceptance by an accredited college, university, or institute.
2. Provides proof of full-time student status (as defined by his school) in the fall of the same year.
3. May not be receiving a full athletic scholarship. (From AISD Booster Club Guidelines).
4. Student must be a senior athlete or manager participating in the Allen High School baseball program at the time the scholarship is awarded and in good standing.
5. Student must complete and return the Home Run Club Senior Scholarship application before the deadline of April 1, 2026.
6. Parent, guardian, or student must have volunteered a minimum of 10 hours each year the student participates in the baseball program. See volunteer eligibility requirements #7. This will be verified by the scholarship committee once application is received. Note, if parent used the volunteer hour option for Membership, they may not use those hours for the scholarship.
7. Applicant and/or Applicant’s parents or guardians/family members can volunteer as a board member, committee chairman, committee planning, or for fundraising opportunities that the Home Run Club presents. A minimum of 10 hours of service supporting the Home Run Club must be completed per year and logged through the Home Run Club website. Hours may be logged between June 1, 2025 – May 1, 2026 of the current school year only and may not be logged for years past. Should applicant receive a scholarship from Home Run Club, but only participated in the program or met eligibility requirements for a portion of those years (and completing HRC specific service hours), they will be eligible to receive only that portion of the scholarship money. For example, if an applicant only played on the AHS baseball team for 11th and 12th grade years, he would be eligible to receive 50% of the maximum allowed scholarship funds. Additionally, if Volunteer requirements were not met for any of the years in the program, that year(s) would be taken into account. For example, the Applicant played all four years, however the family volunteered for 3 of the years, the Applicant would be eligible for 75% of the maximum allowed scholarship funds.
8. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
9. Applicant must submit a 250-500 word essay how playing baseball for Allen High School has influenced you. Include lessons learned and how you will apply those lessons to your future.
1. Each scholarship will be a possible $200 per year that the student participated in the AHS baseball program for a maximum award of $800. The total number of scholarships able to be funded will be determined by the amount of funds generated and number of scholarships to fund. District guidelines on maximum funding will be followed.
2. The Home Run Club treasurer shall ensure that each year’s budget includes a line item for the appropriate amount to fund scholarships for the number of potentially eligible students determined above.
3. The Home Run Club president shall identify specific fundraising to generate revenue to fund each year’s scholarships.
1. The Home Run Club president shall select a committee of not less than three booster club members to execute the scholarship process. These booster club members shall not be related to the potentially eligible students.
2. The scholarship committee shall work with the head baseball coach to distribute applications to all potentially eligible seniors at least two weeks prior to the scholarship deadline.
3. Interested seniors shall turn in the completed applications before deadline stated on application form.
4. The scholarship committee will review all recommendations and determine which applicants meet the eligibility requirements above and present their names to the booster club president prior to 1 week before the scheduled baseball banquet.
5. The scholarship recipients will be recognized at the HRC Spring Banquet. The treasurer generates checks made out to and sent directly to the college or university that each recipient is attending.
6. Student will need to provide the treasurer with college ID and financial aid address if scholarship is awarded.
