Volunteers

Allen Baseball encourages our players and families to volunteer throughout the season. We ask that each family contributes 10 hours per player per year. Volunteer hours are required for a player to be considered for a scholarship from the Home Run Club their senior year.

  • Scholarship is not guaranteed upon application

  • Gifted amounts will vary from year to year, being dependent upon number of eligible graduating seniors and available dedicated HRC funds

  • Both players and parents can earn HRC volunteer hours that will go toward the required 10 hours

List of Eligible Home Run Club Volunteer Opportunities

Additional opportunities may be added should the need arise. If your player needs hours for school organizations, they may use the info@AllenHRC.com email for service hour verification.

  • Volunteering on a committee = parent opportunity, hours commensurate with time spent

  • Signing up for and working a shift at any Home Run Club fundraiser/event, tournament, or sponsored event; hours earned are equal to length of shift

  • Game Day Flags = 1 hr per single game day

  • Running Game Changer for an in-season game or tournament game = 1 hr per game

  • Hosting a team dinner = 2 hours

  • Attending Angel League (players only) = 1 hr. per service day

  • Working the day of flower distribution in the Spring

Items/Activities That Do Not Count Toward HRC Volunteer Hours

  • Donating food, drinks, or other items for Home Run Club activities and events
